染と織① Dyeing and weaving ①

着物の特有は難しそうに感じますが、大きく分けると二つになります。

I feel that the special existence of kimono seems to be difficult, but roughly divided into two.

基本は「染め」か「織」まず染めの着物はすでに織り上がっている真っ白な生地に日本画のような絵模様を後から染めていきます。

このような染め方を「後染め」といいます。

Basically, it's "dyed" or "weaving". First of all, we will dye a picture pattern like a Japanese painting on a pure white fabric that has already been woven.

This kind of dyeing method is called "post-dying".
