家庭袖子
Kuro-tomesode is a black-colored tomesode and can be worn only by married couples. Because it is so prestigious, it is worn only for weddings and receptions. Only the mother of the bride and groom, the wife of the matchmaker, the sisters of the bride and groom, and other close relatives are allowed to wear it.
Today, the most common type of black-tomesode tailoring is the use of hi-yuki fabric. In the old days, the lintel was layered with another layer of white habutae, but nowadays it is common to tailor the kimono with hi-yui, omitting the body lining and sleeve lining, so that it looks as if it is layered.
